About Us
Our History
Music for the Ages was founded by Jamie Puffpaff in August of 2024 because of her passion for music education with her two favorite age groups--children and seniors! Jamie started her first company, Rock 'n' Kids, in 1995 as a way to introduce young children to the amazing developmental benefits of music.
Over the last 30 years, she has developed Baby Rock, Tot Rock and Kid Rock. Along the way, she has met some inspirational people, one of whom is Gina Robinson. Gina is the Life Engagement Coordinator at The Indigo at Bartlett, a senior living community. One day, completely out of the blue after a Google search, Gina contacted Rock 'n' Kids with a question...."This might be crazy, but do you ever do classes with the Rock 'n' Kids students at senior living communities?" Jamie's response was, "No, we have never done that, but that's an interesting idea!" And that was all it took! Jamie was off and running and knew immediately that this was another direction her passion needed to go. The journey thus far has been full of excitement and hard work and joy! This adventure is just beginning, and we are humbled and full of anticipation for all the magical intergenerational events ahead! We are thankful in advance for everyone whose paths we will cross on this journey!
Our Mission
Our mission as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation is to provide intergenerational music events, integrating young children with seniors! Events are held at senior living communities and are open to children ages 6 months - 6 years, and a caregiver. All events are free to participants and are funded through tax deductible donations and fundraisers! Combining these two ages is pure joy! Besides the intellectual benefits that music provides to both children and seniors, the improvement to social and emotional health is incomparable! We invite you to find a way to join us, either by participating in an event with your children, donating to our cause, volunteering at one of our events, or connecting us with a senior living facility that's close to your heart!
